If Rockin Thunder River Tours cancels a trip at any time for any reason including bad weather, rough river conditions or a mechanical problem customers will be refunded in full.
Customer cancellations for the 40 mile Scenic River Tour made 4 days or more prior to start time will receive a full refund. Customer cancellations made less than 4 days prior to start time will receive a voucher valid for 1 year.
Customer cancellations for the 75 mile Midweek Lunch Excursion 5 days or more prior to start time will receive a full refund. Customer cancellations made less than 5 days prior to start time will receive a voucher valid for 1 year.
Customer cancellations for the 155 mile 2 Day Kentucky River Adventure 14 days or more prior to departure date will receive a full refund. Customer cancellations less than 14 days prior to departure will receive a voucher valid for 1 year.
Refunds may take up to 14 days to process and may take up to 30 days to credit to your card.

All 3 tours allow you to soak up the wonders of the river. We cruise at 28-32 miles per hour with lots of stops. Your Captain will inform you of historic points of interest, point out wildlife, share interesting river stories and provide great photo opportunities. Whichever trip you choose be prepared to experience the wonderful river and just have fun.

A boat ride by its very nature creates forces that may not be acceptable to some persons. Only guests in good health should participate in a river tour. For your safety do not ride if you are pregnant. While we often have guests with walkers there are 2 steps down to get into the boat and 2 steps up to get out. There are good handholds. Please call Capt Paul at 812-701-1155 to discuss your specific situation.
If you have limited mobility the 155 mile 2 day Kentucky River Adventure would not be appropriate for you.

All seating is managed by the boat Captain. All seat positions in the boats are good. Some have slightly more legroom therefore the Captain may assign those to taller passengers. Your Captain will seat everyone for your maximum safety and comfort and balance of the boat.

All passengers need to check in at our ticket office at least 30 minutes prior to a trip. This allows you to get checked in ,meet your boat Captain and use the adjacent restrooms . Please be on time as we will depart on schedule. There will be no refund if you miss the departure.

Yes. Your boat driver is a US Coast Guard licensed Master Captain, a professional Merchant Marine Officer with decades of boating experience and extensive training.

There are restrooms right by our ticket office and we encourage everyone to use them before boarding. On all of our tours over 2 hours there are scheduled rest room stops during the tour. We can also make unscheduled rest room stops if needed. There is no rest room on the boat but with our scheduled rest stops none is needed.
